Since January, I’ve been an external thesis advisor for Jay Katelansky, a student at Moore College of Art & Design. The senior show opened this past Wednesday (April 24th) and Jay won “Best of Show” for her installation, The Need to Adorn. I’m so proud of her!

A new blog post where I attempt to review recent art biographies of Gerhard Richter and Caravaggio. The latter book I’m still in the midst of reading, but liked it enough to recommend it…
NOW I consider it to be spring. I spent a little time this afternoon shearing the winter pelt from my head. I’ve been wanting to do this for a few days, but it’s been a bit too chilly, but today was a perfectly warm day to cut the hair off. I’m happy that I’m able to grow a full head of hair for the winter, but with the warmer temps coming, I really don’t need the extra heat.
It’s still going to take a few days to recognize the stranger in the mirror…
