Michael DeLucia at Andrea Rosen Gallery
12 July - 21 August, 2012Early this summer, I visited Michael DeLucia at his studio. He spoke about his recent projects and studio practice. DeLucia is certainly one of the most interesting young artists and thinkers on the horizon. His work utilizes digital software and CAD programs to create computer modeled 3D objects, which are then translated into a physical sculptural form. His practice explores the distortion and corruption of data during the translation from the digital to the physical. His work is currently on view at Andrea Rosen. He also participated in Sculpture Center’s 2012 In Practice exhibition, You Never Look At Me From The Place From Which I See You, curated by Kristen Chappa.
