Yes, but Chicago needs them. Our lake effect temperatures means that even if its 10 degrees outside, it feels like -10 degrees. It always feels about twenty degrees colder than what it actually is due to the wind and the lake effect.
Ok, I can understand that. I know that Chicago winters are notoriously rough. We might get a few of 10 degree days/nights, but not many.
